Katia Reinert

Katia Garcia Reinert, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, PHCNS-BC, is associate director for Health Ministries for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, and coordinates health programs on addiction recovery, lifestyle coaching, and youth alive.

She practices internal medicine at Shepherds Clinic in Baltimore, Maryland, caring for a culturally diverse population, and is passionate about preventive medicine.

Reinert is an adjunct professor at the Andrews University  Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary and has published articles and books focusing on whole person health. Her research focuses on religious involvement as protective factors for survivors of childhood trauma.
