DISTANCE COURSES

The DMin uses extension sites for program delivery, but is not an online program. No online courses are used in the curriculum.

TIME LIMITS

A program participant is expected to complete the requirements for the degree within six years of starting program activity. It is possible to finish in fewer than six years, but not less than four. Program extensions may be granted in qualifying circumstances at significant additional cost.

THE COHORT FORMAT

The curriculum for a cohort in a specific concentration is intentionally sequential; therefore, applicants may not join a cohort that is already in progress—it must be started with a cohort launch. Concentrations are generally made available on a four-year cycle. New cohorts are generally available to begin for a selection of three concentrations each year (Spanish cohorts are limited to one concentration option each year).

ACADEMIC ADVISING

The program director is the official academic advisor, with routine academic advising provided by a program assistant as authorized by the director.
