Biography

Dr. Bauer has taught in the Department of World Mission at the Seminary for many years, and is currently the chair of that department. In addition to his work at the Seminary, he has given years of mission service in Southeast Asia. His wife, Linda, has also had a role in the DMin program, serving as one of the technical editors for DMin project manuscripts for international cohorts. Due to their past and ongoing activities in education and ministry in far-reaching locations, they are experienced world travelers.

Current Research or Professional Activities

Dr. Bauer is the chairperson of the DMin Admissions sub-committee and as of May 1, 2015, he assumed the responsibility of interim director for the Doctor of Ministry program. Among other things he is involved in beyond his roles with the University, he serves on the board of Adventist Frontier Missions.
