Crayon Box Employee Hiring Checklist

• Create MiRegistry account and link to The Crayon Box
   
• Work Permit 
   
• Required State of Michigan Trainings Trainings 
   
• Copy of pediatric, child, and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training certificate  (If not, email the Director for further instructions)
   
• Staff Information Card 
   
• Professional Character Clearance 
   
• Policy on Abuse and Neglect (for your information)
   
• Michigan Child Care Background Check Form (9 hours).
   
• Fingerprinting (once paperwork is completed, The Crayon Box office sends you information so you can set up an appointment to be fingerprinted.  You must then go to the appointment in Benton Harbor.  Must be done before starting work )
   
• Do you know how to recognize the signs of daycare abuse? (required reading)
   
• Remind App (required)
   
• Orientation Packet    (required reading - test given in office when reading is completed)
