2020 Open Enrollment

Open enrollment is the employee's annual opportunity to elect and/or make changes to certain benefits for the new plan year, effective July 1, 2020. Please review the open enrollment information provided below.

OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD
April 1–30

COMPLETING OPEN ENROLLMENT
To make open enrollment changes, you will log in with your Andrews username and password to the online benefit management system (bswift). You may use the step-by-step enrollment guide prepared for you.

Click "Start your Enrollment" and keep the following in mind:
  • Be sure to make a selection on each benefit before proceeding to the next.
  • Your wellness reward, if requirements were met in February and March, will be displayed as a credit under the health plan selection.
    • If you will be newly covering your spouse effective July 1, please watch out for communication from us in July for instructions on how they may complete the wellness reward requirements and receive the reward retroactive to July 1.
  • Once enrollment is complete, review your elections and confirmation statement.
  • Be sure to email yourself a copy of your confirmation statement and keep this email as your proof of elections.
Please remember:
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) elections do not passively roll into the new benefit year (per IRS regulations).
  • FSA changes effective July 1, 2020, must be made during open enrollment through bswift.
  • Between April 1 and June 30, those on the high deductible plan who wish to make changes to their HSA elections for effective dates before July 1 need to contact benefits@andrews.edu rather than making changes in bswift.
Do you need help?
  • Assistance via phone or Zoom (video conferencing) will be available:
    • Technical assistance with enrollment will be available on Wednesday, April 8 & Monday, April 13.
    • Benefit enrollment counselors assistance will be available on Monday, April 13.
  • Please email benefits@andrews.edu to set up an appointment time for the dates above.

Questions? Please send an email to benefits@andrews.edu for assistance.

2020 Wellness Program for Health Premium Reward

To receive the wellness reward on health premiums effective July 1, 2020, the following requirements must be completed:

  1. Submit a completed annual physical form by February 28, 2020
  2. Complete an online health assessment by February 28, 2020
  3. Attend a town hall meeting (or complete an online attestation) in March 2020
  • Please note: There will be no partial credit or subsequent opportunity to earn partial year credit.

Annual Physical
Employees and covered spouses: submit an annual physical form to ASR (not the HR office) for physicals obtained between March 1, 2019 and February 28, 2020.  Forms must be received by February 28, 2020.

Health Assessment
Employees and covered spouses: log in to the ASR website and complete the health assessment (instructions HERE) by February 28, 2020. Spouses must create their own account to complete an assessment.

ASR Website
The ASR health benefits website provides benefits information, including claims status and health plan documents. Additionally, employees and covered spouses will log in to access the Health Engagement Portal to complete the health assessment and track their individual health engagement progress (annual physical form receipt and health assessment completion).

Town Hall Meetings
There will be four similar town hall meetings available for you to attend. Following the short presentation period, benefit counselors will be available to answer questions one-on-one. If you are unable to attend a session, you will have the option of signing an online form by Friday, March 20, attesting that you have read and understood the Employee Benefits Guide for the upcoming plan year. Attending a town hall session or completing the alternate requirement is necessary to earn your health premium reward (participating spouses are welcome, but not required to attend).

Dates
Wednesday, March 4 (10:00am, 3:30pm)
Tuesday, March 10 (10:30am, 3:30pm)

All meeting location will be at the Garber Auditorium (Chan Shun Hall). Please bring your ID card as we will be scanning them for attendance.
