Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to lay open for discussion and criticism the methodology we have used for selecting and categorizing ASOR global history stories and also to present, for the first time, a proposed list of one hundred ASOR global history stories. These narratives span the entire arch of human history in the eastern Mediterranean from the Palaeolithic through to the present. The primary source of data for generating this list have been the project proposals submitted over the past several decades by ASOR scholars to ASOR’s Committee for Archaeological Policy and Research or CAP—a committee currently chaired by the author.
