Monday, September 11 marks the fifth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center, a day in history we will not soon forget. Andrews University invites its faculty, staff and student body to join the rest of the nation in commemorating this day through participation in the following list events:

8 a.m. - Wreath and U.S. flag "planted" at University Boulevard entrance.

9 to 9:05 a.m. - Campus-wide moment of silence followed by Pioneer Memorial Church carillon playing hymns.

Noon - Campus-wide call to prayer at flag pole - A few thoughts on freedom, peace, global understanding will be shared followed by corporate prayer time led by Dr. William Richardson.  Small United States flags will be distributed to "plant" at the University Boulevard entrance during the day, creating a visual reminder to those who drive by campus that Andrews remembers with the rest of the nation. Following the service, Pioneer Memorial Church carillon will play hymns. Flags will also be distributed at the cafeteria.

5 p.m. - Small flags will be distributed at the Seminary and Grove intersection and at University Boulevard to "plant" at the end of University Boulevard. The PMC carillon will play hymns.
