Thanks to the generosity of the Andrews University Board of Trustees, the Foundation for Adventist Education and other friends of the University, each current Andrews University student will receive an Andrews Study Bible. At the fall meeting of the Andrews University Board of Trustees, board members learned that Andrews faculty and staff had collected funds to give each incoming freshman an Andrews Study Bible. They wanted to make a similar gift possible to all Andrews students. Within a matter of minutes, nearly all of the University’s 45 trustees made contributions toward this new goal. Their gifts were combined with gifts from other friends of the University, and then matched by E. Edward and Ann Zinke through their Foundation for Adventist Education.

The Bibles are ready and waiting to be given to their new owners. Here’s how distribution will take place:

For Graduate Students—Thursday, Jan. 13, 5:30–7 p.m., Howard Performing Arts Center.
Light refreshments served at 7 p.m.
After Jan. 13,  you may pick up your Bible in the Graduate Dean’s office, Administration Building, Room 208.

For Undergraduate Students—Thursday, Jan. 20, 11:30 a.m., Pioneer Memorial Church
After Jan. 20, you may pick up your Bible from the Office of Campus Ministries.
 
Students must present their ID card to receive a hardcover Bible. To upgrade to a leather-bound edition, take the Bible in its original shrinkwrap to the Andrews Bookstore by Feb. 1, 2011, to receive a $44.95 credit toward an upgrade.

The distribution of this gift is timed to complement the first-ever Graduate Week of Spiritual Emphasis (Jan.16–21) and the Undergraduate Week of Spiritual Emphasis (Jan. 24–29).
