Student Insurance
Andrews University requires all students enrolled for more than 6 credits to be insured by a policy that covers accidents and illness. Since many students are away from home for the first time, it is important that there is some way to pay for these unexpected needs when or if they arise.
Dependents of US citizens and permanent residents:
Coverage of any dependents is optional for U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
Dependents of international students:
All dependents of international students (J1 and F1) are required to be covered up to the age of 19 years.
Eligible dependents are the spouse and children up to age 26 years of age.
Dependent eligibility expires concurrently with that of the insured student.
The University Insurance plan may be waived by entering current insurance information on Registration Central during registration time.
