Laurie Mack in Colorado

September 14, 2006   Laurie updated Dr. Mattingly lately on her life out in Colorado.  "I wanted to let you know that things are working out pretty well here so far, my classes have started getting harder and we have a couple 'celebrations of learning' next week that are putting all of us first year's into a little bit of a panic!  I am enjoying my classes, learning all sorts of new things about the weather and getting to know a lot of cool people.  On a social note, quite quickly I got connected with the group of Adventist students who live in this area, they are warm, friendly people and included me right away.  We did a little hiking this past weekend locally and this coming weekend I might join some of them on a bigger hike, one of the 14'ners!  I really do like having so many things to do outside so close!!"  We wish we could be out there to see those beautiful mountains.
