August 30, 2006 Dewey Murdick is giving us an update of his experience as a physicist for the U.S. Army. He says, "They are giving me a lot of opportunities to explore interesting topics, work with policy makers, and interact with a great pool of expert scientists. I really feel like God led me to this job, despite the fact that I never intended to go this way in my career path." He also has had several people interested in citing the paper he wrote in an advanced lab here at Andrews about Fresnel diffraction. "I have been getting a few responses regarding this article each year. A few people want to reference it. The other day I got an e-mail from a postdoc at Caltech and he suggested that the document be put in some archival format (published or e-print archive) so it could be cited." We are all very excited and proud to be able to call Dewey an alumnus of Andrews University.
