Sigma Pi Sigma Congress at Fermilab

Andrews University physics students Andrew Hoff and Chris Greenley participated in the November 2008 Sigma Pi Sigma Quadrennial Congress at Fermilab along with physics professor Tiffany Summerscales.  Sigma Pi Sigma is the physics honor society and the theme of this year's congress was "Scientific Citizenship: Connecting Physics & Society".  The congress featured a tour of Fermilab as well as interesting talks and discussion sessions on scientific citizenship issues.  Andrew Hoff reports that a highlight of the congress was meeting Nobel Prize winner Leon Lederman at breakfast and talking with him.  They also enjoyed interesting talks on SETI and the interactions between physics and government.
