THE EDGE - Student Wellness Program - Andrews University

THE EDGE is a new iniciative of the School of Population Health, Nutrition & Wellness, launched through the Nutrition & Fitness Student Association, designed to improve the overall wellbeing of the undergraduate student population at Andrews University. Based on surveys and focus groups, the main areas of wellness needs are:

  • increased physical activity
  • healthier diet
  • better time & stress management

 

  • Wellness Workshops
  1. How to eat healthy on a budget
  2. Stress Management - "Don't hold it in until you explode on day"
  3. Fad diets, food restrictions, health scams
  4. Protein - does it build more muscle?
  5. Wake up and get some sleep!
  6. The H2O effect
  7. Breakfast of champions
  8. Menu decoders

Co-curricular credit will be available in addition to the Wellness Points.

All Fitness classes meet in the FitZone unless otherwise noted!

Plyometrics: 4:00-4:45 p.m.

Zumba: 5:00-5:45 p.m.
Monday    

Body Works: 5:30-6:15 p.m. 

Pilates/Muscular Endurance: 6:15-7:00 p.m.

 

Tuesday

Calisthenics: 9:30-10:15 a.m. 

  Walking Club: 17:00-18:00 at PMC (Females Only)
Wednesday    

BodyWorks: 5:30-6:15 p.m.

Pilates/Muscular Endurance: 6:15-7:00 p.m.

Circuit Training: 7:00-7:45 p.m.

Thursday

Calisthenics: 9:30-10:15 a.m. 

 

   
Friday Circuit Training: 8:45-9:30a.m. 

Bosu: 12:45 -1:30 p.m. (Females Only)

Zumba: 3:00-3:45 p.m.
