High school students are invited to join us for this on-campus STEM experience. Students will design, solve problems, connect with others, and be challenged. This weekend opportunity is recommended for junior and senior high school and homeschool students, although any high school students at any level are welcome. This year's theme is Cells.

To kick off the experience, students can choose to participate in activities from  3D printing workshop, Architecture, Aviation, Natural History Museum, Robotics, or swimming at the Andreason Center. On Friday, students will work in small groups to complete STEM lab challenges in areas of  Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Sustainable Agriculture. A Science and Faith panel discussion of "World Views & Approaches to Science" will include responses to student questions. Worship with us on Sabbath and experience life on campus. A Saturday night QuizBowl game show culminates the event.  Team prizes will be awarded based on percentages (1st place 100-90%, 2nd place 89-80%, 3rd place 79-70%), and scholarships will be given to all students who participate. 

STEM teachers and homeschool parents are encouraged to register a whole team(s) or individual students (3-5 students per team). It is recommended that two caperones attend. 

Registration fee**:  In the event of cancelations, you will be charged 50% of the participant price. On campus housing will be filled on a first come first served basis based on date of the submitted registation. In the event that campus housing runs out, you will be responsible for booking a hotel for your team and will only be charged the day participant rate.   

1.  Overnight Participant*: $200  

  • Participant stays 3 nights on Campus, will recieve 8 meals and a SciFest t-shirt.

2. Day Participant: $100

  • Participant stays off campus, will recieve  5 meals (lunch & super), and a SciFest t-shirt.

*The following conferences will subsizide the housing cost for student participants from their region, and a discounted rate will be applied:

**Do you have students that would like to attend SciFest, but come from a low-socioeconomic background? Select "SciFest Sponorship" for that specific student during the registration process. The STEM coordinator will then contact you and discuss possible options for helping to reduce that student's participant registration fee.
