Course Description:

Early Church, Rise of the Papacy, Great Schism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Crusades, Medieval Church, Continental Reformation and Counter Reformation, English Reformation, English Puritanism, Enlightenment, Pietism, Methodism, American denominationalism, and recent developments. Does not apply toward the CHIS requirements for the MDiv program. 

Please note the following:

Students are expected to to arrive on time and stay for the duration of the course schedule.

  • Class begins on Sunday at 3p.m. as outlined in the syllabus. 
  • Reading Assignments are due on November 9, 3 p.m.
  • Students must complete the required Pre-read BEFORE the week of the class.
  • There will be a Final Essay Test on November 13 (4:30-5:30 p.m.)
