Position summary

Office of Alumni Services is looking for a motivated student with some technical skills and willingness to learn various technologies utilized in the modern marketing and communication plans. These technologies include HTML email creation and modification, basic web design and HTML code modifications and more.

This job also includes various clerical duties, communicating with alums and assisting with alumni events when nessesary. Some weekend availability is nessesary.

Qualifications summary

- Must be proficient with computer technologies. Microsoft Office and Internet research.

- Ability to learn new procedures and follow various steps and tutorials to accomplish a given task.

- Ability to work independently

- Ability to work on weekends (rare but possibility)

Duties and responsibilities

- Works with Associate Director on assisting various departments in communicating with their alumni via HTML emails

- Makes changes to the website and reviews content for accuracy and modifies it as needed.

- Assists alumni via online help desk

- Proofing content for errors

- Works with various data processes in Microsoft Office

- Assists on various multimedia projects

- Assists on various alumni events when necessary

- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
 

Supervisory responsibilities

- None

Qualifications

- Computer skills are a must

- High degree of logical reasoning

- Self-motivation and ability to work independently

- Must speak english

- Creativity and an eye for visual design elements is a plus
 
 

Technical competencies

- Ability to learn quickly in a fast pased technological environment

- Ability to work on Windows and Macintosh operating systems

 

Interpersonal interactions

Must be confortable interacting with alumni and donors if nessesary.
