Position summary
This Graduate Assistantship enables a doctoral student to provide professional assistance to the associate provost and dean of the School of Graduate Studies & Research to ensure that manuscripts and other scholarly documents adhere to the University's Style Manual.
Qualifications summary
- Earned master's degree and/or enrollment in a doctoral program
- Experience and/or training as a editor or working with manuscripts
- Must be skilled multi-tasking and maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with the University's Style Manual
- Must be able to work independently but also know when to seek clarification and guidance
- Must work well with diverse groups of students, faculty and colleagues
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Ability to speak a language other than English is always helpful in our office
- Computer and information literacy are essential

Duties and responsibilities
Candidates must be able to:
- Review manuscripts and other scholarly documents to ensure adherence to the University’s Style Manual
- Communicate with students and university personnel
- Provide timely feedback to students and their advisorr
