Course Checklists

There are two majors offered by the department

• BS Biochemistry
• BS Chemistry

Each major is offered with or without ACS certification.  The ACS certification is particularly valuable for students pursuing graduate studies and students planning to seek employment after graduation in the chemical industry.  The education of all students in the chemical sciences is strengthed by the ACS certification.  The department also offers a minor in Chemistry.

The checklists below are meant as a planning tool for students to use with their advisors.  The current year's bulletin is always a more authoritative source of information regarding graduation requirements.

* Students wishing to pursue a minor in chemistry for secondary education have additional requirements.  Work with an advisor in the School of Education.
