Position summary
Assistant/Associate Professor will have 100% appointment for teaching undergraduate/graduate speech-language pathology courses, service, and research.
Qualifications summary
- Earned doctorate in speech-language pathology or equivalent preferred.
- Teaching and clinical supervision experience preferred
- At least 5 years clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- State of Michigan Speech-Language Pathology License
- Technological proficiency i.e. (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, iPad applications, online learning management system, ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, and interactive whiteboard utilization).
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of speech-language pathology.
- Prepare course materials, deliver lectures, conduct labs, administer, and grade student assignments/examinations.
- Supervise clinical practicum.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Participate in research/scholarly activities.
- Participate in service.
- Serve on School, College and University committees as assigned by the Chair of the School.
- Attend School, College and University faculty meetings and committees as scheduled.
- Course development as needed with pedagogical support.

Qualifications

- A willingness to adhere to Christian principles, specifically SDA principles.
- A member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing preferred.
