Position summary
This dynamic working environment requires the assistant be able to multi-task between clerical activities and major projects relating to prospective graduate students. Successful applicants will demonstrate ease in communicating and relating to people in person, by phone, text and email.
Qualifications summary
General office experience desired. Excellent phone and computer skills. Sales qualities, i.e., pleasant, welcoming, friendly desired. Reliable to keep assigned work schedule. MUST be currently enrolled as a graduate student.
Duties and responsibilities
- General reception duties.
- Assist prospective students and academic programs with questions, concerns and requests.
- Replies to emails and phone calls.
- Email management, scheduling appointments, and mailing documents when necessary.
- Other enrollment projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or other languages is helpful.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented: friendly, personable, great phone and people skills.
- Independent worker, able to take initiative.
- Detail oriented, ability to pay prodigious attention to details.
- Reliable and fast learner.
Technical competencies
Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite.
Database experience desired.
Interpersonal interactions
- Excellent communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented: friendly, personable, great phone and people skills.
Physical demands
- Regularly: Sit, talk, hear and use hands to work with the computer keyboard.
- Occasionally: Walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop for filing
- Occasionally: Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Vision abilities required: Close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- There are frequent interruptions while performing this job
