Position summary

The Master of Health Administration (MHA) program’s office at the School of Population Health, Nutrition & Wellness is seeking a motivated student to provide administrative support to the MHA program as a Graduate Assistant. 

Qualifications summary

• Be a student in good standing at Andrews University


• Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)


• Strong organizational skills


• Ability to apply standard office practices


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Experience in an office environment


• Good interpersonal skills


• Ability to effectively interact with the MHA students and faculty


• Ability to successfully work under pressure and meet deadlines


• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Duties and responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the MHA director and the School of Population Health, Nutrition & Wellness as needed


• Schedule appointments and update calendars


• Coordinate program meetings and other meetings


• Organize and process correspondence and mail


• Compile, proofread and update documents such as program reports and handbooks


• Create and maintain electronic and physical filing systems


• Maintain recruit program list


• Prepare new MHA student orientation electronic packages


• Other duties as assigned
