Position summary

Under guidance of the Camp Director, the On-Site Program Director plans and directs the daily program of the Andrews University Summer Camp, overseeing all activities and staff and ensures the health and safety of the campers. Works within the framework of the program, policies, standards and expectations of Andrews University and the State of Michigan. Must be energetic, creative, positive, and have the ability to work well with staff and campers alike. Reports to the Camp Director/Assistant Camp Director.  Will also co-direct a group of campers.  Be available to work June 5, 2023 - August 25, 2023.

Qualifications summary




Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Physical demands

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 10% sitting, 3% walking, and 55% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.  

Work environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
