Eligibility:
All regular full-time University employees working a minimum 35 hours per week.
Who Pays:
University.
Effective Date:
Faculty and Salaried employees: upon employment.
Hourly Rated employees: upon completion of 90 days of part-time or full-time work according to the employee's classification.
Description:
Basic long-term disability program. The benefits begin the day a 180-day elimination period is completed and are 66 2/3% of monthly earnings to a maximum benefit of $6,000 per month. An insured's payment may be reduced by deductible sources of income and disability earnings. Some disabilities may not be covered or may have limited coverage under this plan.
