Andrews University Health Insurance Opt-Out Option

Employees who are eligible for health insurance benefits but who do not wish to be covered by Andrews University's health insurance plan, must elect the Health Plan Opt-Out option at the Benefits Management System website by May 15 to receive an opt-out benefit payment for the new plan year.

• Login to Benefits Management System (BMS) website
• Under My Benefits on the Home page, click Enrollment
• At the New Elections screen, click the Health benefit
• Click Health Plan Opt-Out option
• Review BMS User Guide to
  • Enroll in other benefits if Open Enrollment is available
  • Enter beneficiary information
  • Access benefits library resources

The monthly opt-out payment is $200. Payment of the opt-out amount is not retroactive for late election.
