Job Title: Enrollment Coordinator - Public High School Students
Classification: [SF] Salaried Full-Time
Department: Enrollment Management
Hours Per Week:   Full Time
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
Available: June 1, 2013
Primary Duties:
  • Works with an increasingly important target market segment – Adventist students in public high schools.
  • Understands and effectively recruits students in the public sector (including area students who may not be Adventist, but are interested in a Christian university education close to home).
  • Coordinates recruiting and programming at camp meetings and other assigned events focusing on public high school applicants to college.
  • Assists with general recruiting assignments and activities.
  • In addition to reporting to the Director of Recruitment Services, reports to other Enrollment leaders regarding their related areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Relevant experience.
  • Public high school experience is helpful.
  • Preference given to Andrews University graduates.
  • Public speaking ability.
  • Able to drive.
  • Strong team orientation.

    Job Title: Student Financial Services Advisor
    Classification: [SF] Salaried Full-Time

    Primary Duties:
    • Advise students and families with financial planning, completion and processing of financial aid forms, and other financial services throughout the year as needed;
    • Issue financial clearance or appeal exceptions for students to register for classes;
    • Maintain financial aid and account files;
    • Review/analyze monthly statements to check for delinquent payments or student earnings;
    • Contact parents/students to discuss options that may help keep the account current;
    • Meet with students daily with walk-in and pre-set appointments to answer specific questions regarding student accounts, refunds, financial aid, billing, and other accounts;
    • Provide documentation to various parties, as required;
    • Attend support staff workshops and professional development workshops to receive updates from educational and financial aid professionals.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Education, Finance or related, and 1 yr. exp. in the job offered, or experience in Student Financial Services, Int\\\'l Student Services or related.
    • Experience must include monthly student account reconciliation, maintenance of student accounts, and compilation of demographical statistical reports.
    • Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree based upon a combination of education and experience.

    Job Title: ESL Instructor
    Classification: [SC] Salaried Contract/Temporary
    Department: Andrews Academy
    Hours Per Week:   20
    Salary: Commensurate with Experience

    Primary Duties:
    • Provide English instruction at various levels to the academy’s international student population.
    • Instructorship of intensive secondary-level English Language Learner curriculum.
    • Administer appropriate testing and evaluation measures.
    • Work in full cooperating with the academy English Department.
    • Coordinate and sponsor all international student extra-curricular events.
    • Coordinate the academy’s international host-family program.
    • Be liaison between the academy and the Andrews University CIEP program.
    • Serve on the academy’s International Student Affairs Committee.
    • Part-time responsibilities during the academic year.
    • Specific duties during the weeks immediately preceding the start of the school year.

    Qualifications:
    • Must be an active member of the Seventy-day Adventist Church in good standing.
    • Must have completed a BA in English with secondary-level endorsement.
    • Must have completed a TESOL certificate.
    • Prior experience in TESOL instruction strongly preferred.
    • Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
    • Must feel and act comfortable working in a variety of settings and with diverse populations.
    • This is an annual, 10 month contractual position renewable on evidence of strong performance.
