Free Class for Women in Chemotherapy

(ST. JOSEPH) - Lakeland HealthCare will offer "Look Good...Feel Better," a free two-hour class for women who are currenlty undergoing chemotherapy, at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 8, at the Marie Yeager Cancer Center at the Health Park, 3900 Hollywood Road, St. Joseph.

          Presented in cooperation with the American Cancer Society and the National Cosmetology Association, this program teaches beauty techniques to female cancer patients to help restore their appearance and enhance their self-image.  Licensed cosmetologists provide cosmetic advice, information on skin care, and guidance on the use of wigs, turbans and scarves.  Each participant receives a free make-up kit valued at $300from the Personal Care Products Council.

          Future "Look Good...Feel Better" seminars will be held the second Monday of each month at the Marie Yeager Cancer Center.
