Join us for “Handling Finances in a COVID-19 Economic Environment” presented virtually by Scott Schalk (‘BBA ’92, MBA ’93). Upon graduating from Andrews with an MBA, Scott became a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial. He is licensed as a Certified Financial Planner and helps people achieve financial success with investment management, tax strategies and estate planning.

Join us on Thursday, May 7 at 5:30 p.m. EST for a talk about “Finding Wellness in Difficult Times” by Adam Meadows, MD (BS ’04). Dr. Adam Meadows is a board-certified psychiatrist who joined Skyland Trail, a nonprofit mental health treatment organization, in 2016. His clinical interests include mood disorders, adult ADHD, and mental health concerns affecting college and graduate students.

Dr. Samara Sterling serves as the Research Director for The Peanut Institute and has expertise in the use of plant-based nutrition for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.

A J. N. Andrews Honors Scholar, Dr. Bauer graduated from Andrews University with a BA in Music and BS in Biology in 2014. She recently received a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of British Columbia, Canada. A Vanier recipient, Kylynda’s doctoral research in Dr. B. Brett Finlay’s lab explored how gut microbes influence early-life malnutrition. Additional research experiences include projects at Harvard University (USA), Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (Singapore), and Lleida Universitat (Spain).
