Graduation
The Graduate Application for Graduation form must be completed according to the deadline published in the Academic Calendar. It must be submitted to the Graduate Program Coordinator before Advancement to Candidacy is requested. It is possible to march and participate in graduation having almost completed the degree program requirements (see details in AU Bulletin). This requires that you submit the Application to March in Graduation without Completion by the published deadline. Make sure that the forms that you complete relative to graduation reflect your plans for receiving your diploma.
Advancement to Candidacy
On completion of 50% of your course work, you must apply for Advancement to Candidacy. You must be on regular status. The Advancement to Candidacy form, Candidacy Course Check Sheet and the Plan of Study must be completed and approved by the Supervisory Committee and Department Chair. These forms are submitted by the Administrative Assistant to the School of Graduate Studies for approval. This must precede the Application for Comprehensive Examination.
