BFA: Electronic Journalism
Skills & Education: Our BFA in Electronic Journalism degree was launched in November 2008. It prepares students to gather and research news, develop story ideas, achieve strong writing proficiency through compelling use of language, produce news and documentaries using the latest in new media techniques, and develop professional traits required of a professional journalist.
Career Outlook: This program may prepare students for careers as script writers, broadcast journalists, videographers, photojournalists, production assistants, or news anchors.
Prospective Courses: The journalism student will take classes in core communication courses, as well as classes in digital photography, technology for journalism, news editing for electronic media, advanced media writing, news production, multimedia journalism, photojournalism, and news magazine production.
