Biography:
Joon Kang is an associate professor of mathematics on the campus of Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Mich. He joined the faculty in 2000.

Born in Seoul, Korea, Kang attended Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul and graduated with a bachelor of arts in mathematics in 1988. He went on to receive a masters from Michigan State University, East Lansing, in December of 1990.

Kang earned his doctorate from Michigan State University in 2000. The title of his dissertation is: "The Uniqueness of Positive Solutions of General Lotka-Volterra Competition Models."

Professor Kang serves as an editor of the "Journal of Computational
Mathematics and Optimization" (JOCMO).

He is married to Yun Myung Oh.
