Program Performance Scores (MDE)
Beginning with the 2006-2007 academic year, the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) has annually published quality ratings of all teacher preparation programs in the state. These ratings were conducted and reported using what was called the Teacher Preparation Institution (TPI) Score until 2013. The MDE has since created a new rating system, called the Educator Preparation Institution (EPI) Score, which has been in use since 2014. Annual reports of our ratings can be viewed below.
Educator Preparation Institution (EPI) Scores
Our EPI scores have been excellent. In 2014, we received a score of 92.5 (out of 100), compared to a statewide mean of 87.8. Our 2015 score was 94.7, compared to a statewide mean of 88.1.

During the six years of TPI Score reporting, we received 70 (out of 70) points four years in a row!

5. Graduation Rates
University-wide graduation rates are available from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. Disaggregated data for the College of Education & International Services are not yet available, but will be collected by Fall 2018.
6. MTTC (State Licensure Exam) Results
MTTC results are reported in three-year spans (e.g., 2009-2012), and should be interpreted with caution as directed by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). Results are not shown for any tests which had fewer than 10 test takers.

Andrews University's student loan default rate for 2017 is 4.92% (source: studentloans.net), which is several percentage points below the national average.
