Biography

Marilyn Eggers is technology director for the Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. She earned her B.S. in Liberal Arts in 1986 and her M.A. in Instructional Technology from San José State University. Marilyn received the Richard B. Lewis Award as the outstanding Instructional Technology graduate student at San José State University.

Marilyn's educational focus is computers and interactive systems. She serves as the computer consultant and resource person for elementary and secondary schools. She also teaches summer classes in educational technology and directs the program for the Model Technology School Project at VHM Christian School in Santa Cruz, California.

Marilyn taught kindergarten through 10th grade for more than 12 years. She has been on several small-schools committees for the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists, served on a Bible-curriculum committee for five summers for the Pacific Union Conference, and worked with small-schools workshops at Southern Adventist University. She has also conducted workshops in the southeastern and southwestern United States.

Marilyn's goals are to enhance learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving through technology and to prepare teachers and students for the twenty-first century.
