Biography

Eileen Knight White, Ph.D. is an international consultant that provides educational and organizational development strategies in the area of planning, assessment, and evaluation to private and public colleges and universities.  She believes that open and collaborative participation connects people, information and processes that lead to organizational change.  She is committed to fostering organizational cultures of excellence through linking vision, mission, change and accountability to achieve institutional effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Eileen served in a variety of administrative and teaching roles for over 30 years in California community colleges.  Since making home base in Las Vegas with her husband in 2000, she has expanded her consultancy to include administrative assignments at the Peralta Community College District where she is currently Vice President of Instruction at Laney College in Oakland, California.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition from Andrews University, and her Dietetic Internship and Masters in Public Health Nutrition from Loma Linda University.  A believer in lifelong learning, she completed her doctoral studies at Andrews University (2007) in Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration.   Eileen views her life as a “providential evolution” because God has provided many personal relationships and professional development opportunities that she would not have known how to request for herself. 

She is married to O.C. White, Jr., a Registered Civil Engineer practicing in the area of Traffic and Transportation.  They have two adult children, a son O.C. White III, a physician and their daughter Anissa White Johnson who graduated with a degree in Mathematics and is also an educator.   Eileen and O.C. dote on four beautiful grandchildren - the oldest of which is four! 

Currently she services an Elder at the Abundant Life SDA Church providing leadership for education and children’s ministries, as well as School Board Chair of the Abundant Life Christian Academy.  Eileen is a member of the Executive Committee of the Nevada Utah Conference, and is in her second five year term on the Board of Trustees at Oakwood University.
