This three day course will focus on the pelvic region and its relationship with the lumbar spine, abdomen, and diaphragm. The course will cover an in-depth review of anatomy and function of the pelvic floor. Extensive manual therapy treatment techniques specific to alleviating pelvic floor contributions to low back, pelvic and hip pain will be demonstrated, with in-depth lab time allowed for practice and feedback to students.
The three day course will not include internal pelvic floor treatment. However; if you are interested in internal examination and treatment of the pelvic floor, sign up for the fourth optional day (Oct. 15th). This day will be held in a room allowing maximum privacy for each group of two participants as there are curtains available around each table. Men wishing to take the optional 4th day will only be able to participate if another male signs up as well or if they bring their own willing subject.
