Primary Duties:	Teach a full load of courses in Old Testament studies at the masters and doctoral levels. Advise and provide mentorship to masters and doctoral students. Provide advocacy and leadership in the area of Old Testament studies to the Seminary and the Seventh-day Adventist Church (and beyond). Participate in Seminary and University life and responsibilities. Carry regular faculty responsibilities related to teaching, service, research and publication, and administration.
Qualifications:	An earned doctoral degree (PhD or ThD) in the area of Old Testament studies, with an emphasis in biblical exegesis preferred. Capacity to communicate effectively and dynamically both on a popular and scholarly level. Experience in teaching and pastoral ministry in the Adventist Church is expected. Record of academic engagement and publications is expected along with a research agenda in the area of expertise. An understanding of adult learning practices and how to apply it in the context of theological education. Good interpersonal skills; the ability to collaborate well with colleagues; and a disposition conducive to interaction winsomely with students and staff. A personal history of healthy human relations, high moral integrity and Christian spiritual maturity. A commitment to mentor students. Solid support of Seventh-day Adventist beliefs and mission. Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Job Title:	Department Chair

Primary Duties:	Andrews University School of Health Professions seeks a Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy/Director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program (DPT). Primary responsibilities include: leadership and management of the day to day activities of the DPT program; mentoring and management of faculty; strategic planning; supervision of the Director of Post-professional DSc Physical Therapy education program and the Director of Clinical Education; budget management; and CAPTE accreditation processes. This position is available July 1, 2013. It will include a 12 month tenures or tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor. Teaching responsibilities will be one course per year.
Qualifications:	PhD, EdD or equivalent post-professional doctoral degree with clinical specialty (ABD considered). A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a CAPTE accredited DPT program. Clinical experience and active research agenda. Eligible for PT license in Michigan. Experience with CAPTE accreditation processes. Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Primary Duties:	Provides reference service in person, by phone or electronically at the Information Services Desk and outside scheduled hours. Responsible for organizing and staffing the Information Services Desk. Supervises the reference student assistant, including hiring, training, evaluating, etc. Serve as the technological expert of the department in relation to questions that arise in the use of the library’s publically available resources; refers complex questions to the appropriate personnel. Keep current with library, university, and community resources to use and teach them to patrons and supervisees. Reports to the Dean of Libraries for planning and implementing a marketing plan for the library using traditional and current modes of communicating the library’s image and services. Qualifications:	Master’s degree in library or information science from accredited ALA-institution or its equivalent; second master’s degree preferred. Minimum of three years’ professional academic library experience (particularly in reference) preferred. Good interpersonal skills and customer service with patrons of varying abilities, intercultural backgrounds, and computer skills. Works under pressure in a quiet environment that requires multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, adaptability, flexibility, and accessibility inside and outside normal work hours. Computer savvy; adapts quickly to technological changes and use them in reference, teaching, and marketing. Thoroughly grounded in reference and research skills, familiarity with library’s organization and sophisticated software, including use and interpretation of bibliographic records. Excellent speaking, listening, teaching, and writing skills. Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
