At Meier and Burman Halls, we know we cannot replace home, but it is our goal to provide a comfortable, convenient and family-like atmosphere. We also promise to do our best to support you as you transition to a new phase of your life. Throughout every semester Meier Hall's staff and the Men's Club, Sigma Phi Delta, work together to provide all the basics you need. Meier Hall also offers programming and other opportunities to bond with other residents.
Meier and Burman residents can depend on 24/7 access to on-call medical professionals in case of an emergency. During regular business hours, the University Medical Center is open to remedy minor problems. If you must miss class to meet an appointment, excuse slips are available for your professors. Andrews University health insurance covers visits to the University Medical Center, local clinics and hospitals/emergency rooms.
Safety is a high priority at Meier and Burman halls. Physical abuse, assault, harassment, verbal threats or any other conduct endangering someone's health or safety are all behaviors that need to be reported. If you are the victim of or witness any of these behaviors, it is your responsibility to alert the Dean on duty or Public Safety. Keep your valuables locked up and use common sense. Renter's insurance is recommended and brochures are available at the Meier Office.
Meier and Burman Halls offer much to make your residence hall stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Vacuum cleaners are available for cleaning up after that Super Bowl party. Vending machines can help fuel a midnight study session. Laundry service, the health club, and the kitchenette are just a few more services the dorm provides for your convenience.
