Andrews University Visual Art Education Majors passing Michigan State Content Exams at 100 %.
In this age of assessment Schools of Education are always asked: How well do your students do on State Exams - when compared with all other universities/colleges in Michigan? The answer: Our Andrews University students are at the TOP. The MDE (Michigan Department of Education) shows how well our Elementary and Secondary Education majors have done on Michigan exams from August, 2013 - July, 2014. Remember that these students MUST PASS these exams to be issued a Michigan state teaching license. In summary, AU elementary and secondary education majors had the highest pass rate (95.8%) of any other college/university in Michigan. There was a 100% Pass Rate on Content Exams in English, Reading, History, Chemistry, Secondary Mathematics, Spanish, Elementary Education, English as a Second Language, Language Arts (Elementary), Integrated Science (Elementary), Visual Arts Education, and Music Education.
