The program is nationally accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). It is also approved for teacher certification by the State of Michigan Board of Education and the North American Division Office of Education of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. This means students who graduate from Andrews University are sought after by schools and school districts all across the country. CAEP accreditation also affords students teacher certification reciprocity in most states.

If you want to become an elementary, secondary or college teaching level professional, we will give you the practical training and skills you'll need.
When you graduate with your teaching certification from Andrews University, you will be able to teach in most states without further course work in teacher training. We also offer SDA (Seventh-day Adventist) certification for those who wish to work in SDA schools after graduation.
When you pursue a graduate degree in Curriculum & Instruction, many doors are opened. Graduates of the C&I program are involved in curriculum development at all levels of education, as well as program evaluation. A degree in C&I also opens doors to work as a trainer in industry, as well as with non-govermental organizations.
