The class of 1971 celebrated their golden reunion (50 years)!
The class of 1996 celebrated their silver reunion (25 years)!
Teacher Legacy Award: Cleon White
Alumni of the Year: Ray Tetz '71, Jody Stout '96 (posthumous)
Criteria for Alumnus of the Year and Teacher Legacy Award
Convocation: 8 AM - Convocation for current Andrews Academy students. Speaker: Greg Schaller '76.
Career Seminars: 9 AM - Some alumni presented Career Seminars to the current Andrews Academy students.
In order to limit indoor gatherings on campus, we did not have a vespers program on Friday evening.
Registration: 9 AM (no breakfast)
Sabbath School/Roll Call: 10 AM - Sabbath School and Roll Call. There were testimonials from alumni's time at Andrews Academy, which were interspersed with musical selections by current music groups. Various individuals were recognized, awards were given, and roll call of classes took place during this program.
Church: 11:15 AM - This service was presented by the class of 1996. Members of the 25 year class presented special music, scripture, and a sermon and prayer for this service. The select choir, Silhouettes, sang, inviting the AA choir alumni to join them for a combined special music during this service.
Honor Class Photos: 12:30 PM - Following church each honored class sat together for a potluck meal. Also during this time each class had their photo taken. This photo will be sent to honor classes via email after alumni weekend.
Lunch: 12:30 PM - A haystack meal was provided.
Shydepoke: 8 PM - The traditional Shydepoke flag football games occurred at the Andrews University Field, Berrien Springs.
Honor Class Events: Some honored classes planned other special events during the weekend.
We enjoyed seeing each of you who attended this alumni weekend!
