Chapter 3: Exponential and Logarithmic Functions

Exponential functions can be used to model events that change by a fixed percent such as the value of a used car or the number of fish in a pond. Logarithmic functions can be used to model perceived energy such as the loudness of sound or the strength of an earthquake.
