Summer Classes
Students from three sister institutions: Southern Adventist University, Southwestern Adventist University, and Union College are on campus completing their prerequisite clinical courses in preparation to starting their senior (clinical) year in Andrews’ Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program. Through our affiliate arrangements with each school, these students will complete the one-year program at Andrews, will receive their degrees from their home college/university, and be eligible to write national certification examinations as clinical laboratory scientists (medical technologists).

Marcia Kilsby, Department Chair, traveled to Eritrea, Africa, in April at the request of the Eritrean Minister of Health to do a needs assessment and redesign of the clinical laboratory educational system for the country.

Andrews CLS Students recruited to help fill the nation-wide laboratory personnel shortage
CLS graduates in great demand. As the nation-wide laboratory personnel shortage gets more acute, employers are taking active steps to recruit Andrews graduates. Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins Health Systems have asked to allow recruiters to come this next school year to present career opportunities to the clinical laboratory science juniors and seniors.
