Connecting to au-secure | Windows 8
Windows 8 (laptops or tablets) 
NOTE: If you are connected to au-guest, remember to "forget" this network to avoid connecting to it again. To do this, right click (or select and hold) on the au-guest network and select Forget this network.
- From the Start Screen, open the Charms Bar by placing your mouse (or finger) at the lower righthand corner of your screen
- Select the Search icon
- Select the Settings icon and then type "network" into the search box. Windows 8 will display all network-related settings to the left of the Charms Bar
- Use your mouse or finger to scroll through the search results, then select Network and Sharing Center
- Select Set up a new connection or network
- Select Manually connect to a wireless network, then click Next

Enter the following information, then Next
- Network name: au-secure
- Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
- Encryption type: AES
- Select Change connection settings
- Select Security tab
- Select Settings
- Uncheck “Validate server certificate”
- Ensure Select Authentication Method is “Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)”, then select Configure
- Uncheck “Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)”
- Select OK
- Select OK
- Select OK
- Select Close

Initiate the connection to the au-secure wireless network:
- Return to the Charms Bar as you did before by placing your mouse (or finger) at the bottom right corner of your screen
- Select Settings on the Charms bar, then click on the Wireless network icon

Select au-secure wireless network
- Ensure Connect automatically is checked
- Select Connect
- When prompted, enter your Andrews username (lowercase, without "@andrews.edu") and password
- Repeat if prompted again
