Oversees all aspects of the PhD Counseling Psychology and MA Counselor Education students’ clinical training experiences for the GPC department.  Help in coordinating departmental efforts in establishing training sites for MA student placement and works with APPIC as the Director of Training for the doctoral Counseling Psychology program to facilitate student internship placements.   The coordinator collaborates with the Andrews Community Counseling Center Director as well as other faculty in constructing student application guidelines and procedures for counseling students. The coordinator will have both administrative and teaching duties. 

• Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology preferably with a State licensure as a Counselor (LPC)
• EPPP licensure required.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at Andrews University is seeking a highly skilled and innovative individual for a full-time (12-month) tenure track Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) faculty to teach in a NAACLS accredited MLS Program. The applicant should possess skills to effectively teach university courses for MLS students and participate in appropriate scholarly and service activities consistent with the vision, mission, and philosophy of the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences. The candidate should demonstrate competence in both didactic and clinical education as well as curriculum development.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in MLS or related area.
• Doctoral or Ph.D. degree preferred.
• National (U.S.) recognized Medical Laboratory Science certification such as that offered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
• Minimum of three years of generalist clinical experience with preferred emphasis on immunology/immunohematology (blood bank/transfusion medicine)

Part-time non-tenure track position: Requires 12 teaching credits per year, including music classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels, fulfilling responsibilities of the band area, preparing and conducting the concerts of the Andrews University Wind Symphony (AUWS).

The Department of Physics at Andrews University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position to commence in July 2023.  Candidates with research interests in any area of  physics or astronomy will be considered and the successful candidate is expected to establish an active research program in physics.  Teaching experience in introductory, intermediate, and advanced physics courses is preferred  but evidence of pedagogical talent, creativity, dedication, and commitment is sufficient. 

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate courses required for general education, professional career preparation, and entry into graduate academic programs. The candidate’s academic and research experience at the core of their physics doctoral degree or postdoc is expected to play a key role in upper division coursework, inspiring and equiping majors for subsequent advanced study or for direct entry into the workforce.

The primary responsibilities of this faculty appointment are to teach in the DPT program and serve as the neurology track coordinator. The faculty appointment has administrative, academic, service, and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences (SRS). 

• Earned Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE accredited program. 
• Earned advanced doctorate (academic or professional). Candidates enrolled in an advanced doctorate with a reasonable projected completion date may be considered.
• Minimum five years of relevant clinical experience in neurology.
• APTA Board-Certified Neurological Clinical Specialist preferred.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience preferred, may include clinical education.  
• Minimum two years of management experience, serving in leadership roles within a given organization preferred.

The Visual Art, Communication & Design Department seeks a Professor of Communication to teach undergraduate courses in communication skills, persuasion, gender communication, group dynamics and leadership, communication in the classroom, and magazine feature and article writing. This faculty member will also academically advise students as well as be an active and participating member of the department faculty.

A master of arts in communnication is required. A PhD in Communication, or related field, is preferred. Relevant professional experience in writing and journalism is a plus. Teaching experience on the college level strongly preferred.

A full or associate professor of communication with areas of expertise in public relations, media relations, and social media. Teaching duties include communication skills--a general education requirement, introduction to public relations, advanced public relations courses, basic media writing, and communication theory courses. Faculty are required to adademically advise undergraduate students, and serve on departmental/ university committees.

 

A Master's degree in Communication is required. A PhD in Communication is preferred. Also, a minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating professional PR experience.
