1. When will the new Andreasen Center for Wellness open? 

Answer: September 30, 2019

2. What amenities will be available?

3. Who will be able to use the Andreasen Center for Wellness? 

Answer: The new Andreasen Center for Wellness will be open to anyone (with certain various levels of access to spaces and programs).  
  • Andrews University students taking 5+ credits have automatic access to the Andreasen Center for Wellness as part of their university fee package. Eligible add-ons have access at a highly discounted rate. For more information, click here
  • Andrews University students taking less than 5 credits have access to the Andreasen Center for Wellness at a discounted monthly rate. Eligible add-ons have access at a highly discounted rate. For more information, click here
  • Andrews University benefit-eligible employees have automatic access to the Andreasen Center for Wellness at no additional cost (this benefit will be reviewed again April 30, 2021). Eligible add-ons to Andrews University employee free memberships have access to the Andreasen Center for Wellness at a highly discounted rate. For more information, click here
  • Andrews University benefit non-eligible employees have access to the Andreasen Center for Wellness at a discounted monthly rate as well as their eligible add-ons. For more information, click here

4. Will there be child care? 

Answer: While the new Andreasen Center for Wellness will not offer traditional childcare, children and youth have various levels of access to certain parts of the operation and programming (for more membership details, see here). As we get closer to the opening date, more information on available programs for all ages will be published. 

5. What will be a part of my membership? 

Answer: The new Andreasen Center for Wellness will feature two separate operations: 1. The Wellness Club and 2. The Recreation Center. All Andrews University students will have access to all spaces and programming. All Andrews University employees, family members and community members, who choose to become members, will have full access to The Wellness Club and limited access to The Recreation Center (specific programs in The Recreation Center will be released closer to opening). 

6. What is part of The Wellness Club membership?

7. What is part of The Recreation Center? 

Answer: The Recreation Center will be managed and operated by the Office of Athletics in the Andrews University Division of Campus & Student Life. Programs that will take place in The Recreation Center include, but are not limited to: 

  • Intramurals
  • Open recreation
  • Academic classes
  • Athletics
  • Student Life events

8. What are the hours of operation?

Answer: The hours of operation for The Wellness Club are:

Sundays: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Mondays–Thursdays: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Fridays: 6 a.m. until two hours before sundown

Saturdays: CLOSED

*modified schedule on various nationally observed holidays

The hours of operation for The Recreation Center are still TBD.
