Biography:

Professor Maggie Hernandez graduated from the Andrews University Dietetic Program in 1977 (which was the second class since program started). She then received a Master of  Public Health in Nutrition from Loma Linda University in 1982.

Professor Hernandez has varied experiences in the fields of food service management, geriatric, renal, and diabetes nutrition.  Her diverse background in clinical nutrition makes her a great teacher in the area of clinical nutrition at Andrews University.  Professor Hernandez coordinates the Dietetic Internship and has great networking abilities. She is also affiliated with Lakeland HealthCare where she works as a relief Clinical Dietitian.

She is the mother of two sons and her hobbies include walking, gardening and traveling.  Her motto is to live life to the fullest and to help people to have happy and healthy lives.
