Biography

Jon Dybdahl was president (now retired) of Walla Walla University in the state of Washington, where he enjoyed interacting with students and helping make college a life-changing experience. Prior to his presidency, Jon spent six years as a pastor and evangelist in Thailand, where he founded an adult education center and Chiangmai Adventist Academy. He is considered one of the Seventh-day Adventist church's foremost experts on world mission. In addition to mission work, Jon has ministered as a pastor and college and seminary teacher. He has also held seminars internationally and authored five books and numerous articles on the topics of mission, spiritual formation, and Old Testament. He enjoys raising fruit and reading, but his greatest delight is time with family—wife Kathy, three married children, and nine grandchildren.
