Katrina/Ike Disaster Relief Trip

Students - Do you want to make a difference in someone's life during the fall break? Do you want to help someone who helped others during the Katrina and Ike storms and now has nothing? You can make a difference in their lives as they have in the lives of others. Cost for the trip is only $140, and covers travel and food & lodging upon arrival, as well as meals in transit. Work that will be performed on the property site will consist of building a house and other general labor on-site. This trip may qualify for volunteer credit; check with your professor for approval. Sign up in the Office of Campus Ministries. Pack light, remembering to include your own sleeping bag. This trip will be limited to 14 people, and the deadline for registration is Thursday, October 8.
Departure: Oct. 9, 2 p.m. (PMC parking lot)
Arrival: Oct. 10, late a.m.
Rest: Oct. 10, afternoon
Work: Oct. 11-13
Return: Oct. 13, evening
Arrival: Oct. 14, before morning classes (PMC parking lot)
