Retirement Party for Dr. Emilio Garcia-Marenko

The definition of a registrar is an official in an academic institution who handles student records. As the Andrews University Registrar for 17.5 years, Dr. Emilio Garcia-Marenko has come to know the job very well, but has been much more than that. In addition to his responsibilities as Registrar, in 2003 he became the Associate VP for Academic Administration. In 2007 this position changed to the Associate Provost, and he also became the administrative figure to which students could voice their complaints. Dr. Garcia has also held the position of Interim Graduate Dean, and on two occasions was asked to cover for the VP for Enrollment Services during leadership transitions. And he has been a Professor of Family Ministry in the AU Seminary since 1997. Please join us to honor and celebrate Dr. Emilio Garcia-Marenko's many years of service to Andrews University.
