Reaching Students Through Poetry

St Brice is an educator at heart. One who believes that at the core of what she does is supposed to reach her students and bring some form of knowledge to them. For this English and Reading teacher at the Arima North Secondary School, poetry is the medium through which she chooses to bring her message. For the past decade she has been inspiring her students through the use of poetry. The school published through St Brice its first book of poetry called Inspiration on commemoration of International Literacy Day on September 8. Hopefully, she intimated, this would be the first of many for her and her students. St Brice holds two bachelors, one English and the other in, Behavioural Sciences done at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan and University of Southern Caribbean (USC), respectively.
