AERONAUTICS/AVIATION/AEROSPACE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY Instructor Position 4 hours a day

Qualified applicant must have or be eligible for a valid Michigan teaching certificate and the appropriate occupational endorsement to teach CIP Code 49.0101 or be eligible for annual authorization (4,000 hours of recent and relevant work experience in the industry). The qualified applicant must also have the appropriate FAA License on file.

Duties:

  • Teach the state approved standards for Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology 49.0101
  • Develop and maintain a course description, course outline, daily lesson plans based on segmented course objectives.
  • Develop a scope and sequence for the program that covers the 12 segments
  • Organizes and facilitates a minimum of 2 advisory committee meetings each year
  • Provides a work-based learning experience for each student each year
  • Provides a CTSO/Leadership experience for all students
  • Update the CIP Self-Review each year
  • Maintain and supply necessary information for articulation with colleges, universities and tech schools.
  • Keep teacher certification current through local and state professional development opportunities
  • Assess and measure student growth
  • Certified Flight Instructor with Ground Instructor ratings
  • Current FAA medical
  • Class is held at the Pellston Regional Airport (PLN)
